Meet with Vermonters who would like to light up their neighborhood (and cut energy costs)!
Project Porchlight's goal is to deliver one free compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulb to every household in North America. Putting a free energy-efficient bulb in someone's hand delivers a powerful and simple message: Saving money and protecting the environment are as easy as changing one light bulb.
Project Porchlight Vermont's goal is to deliver 36,000 CFL bulbs to households in Burlington, Colchester, Essex, Essex Junction and Winooski by the beginning of August. By achieving our goal, people in these communities will save more than one million dollars on their energy bills!
We need your help. Volunteers with Project Porchlight deliver free energy-efficient light bulbs to their friends and neighbors. Please join this group so that you can find out more about how you can help us with this very worthwhile initiative.
Canadians have already saved more than $40 million dollars through Project Porchlight. Help Vermont lead the nation by being the first state in the U.S. to participate in Project Porchlight!
